Border inspired by a large mid-12th century portrait of Eadwine, the monk in a pslater written at the catherdral priory of Christ Church, Canterbury.  (Cambridge Trinity College, MS.R..17.1, fol 283v)

Inspirted by the badge and hoods of the Order of the Greenwood Company.

Inspired by: A stylised image of a medieval smith from William Caxton’s Game and Play of Chess (1483) and several foliate borders with acanthus leaf - mid 15th C.

Inspiration: Bedford Hours, c. 1410-30.

Purple Fretty for the Roaring Wastrels - Carved Trumpet Sign with scroll text around edges.

Inspired by a wood-burned decorated game box created by the recipient as a prize for this event.  

Inspiration: Opening pages of Psalm 101 with a large decorated initial, display capitals, and interlinear gloss. Bosworth Psalter, England, 4th Qtr of 10th C.
