What are Scribal Works? They are documents or artistic renderings usually employing techniques of calligraphy and illustration or illumination. Throughout history scribes would use these techniques to create legal documents; religious books like bibles, books of hours (prayer books), and Q'uran, etc.
What is a Scribe? A scribe was a copyist, an artist, a secretary.
What will I see here? A chronological portfolio of the SCA Middle Kingdom Awards that I have created. The pages are organized by Anno Societatis (year of our society or SCA dates) which change on May 1 of each year.
A page of special requests or commissions. These are mostly awards that did not have scrolls made at the time the award was presented.
Gifts - scribal works that were not made to be awards.
Having served as the Territorial Baroness of North Woods (2018-2023) I had the use of the Baronial Scroll Cover for transporting scrolls to and from events. I needed to make a new one for myself. Finished it in time to take a scroll to Terpsichore at the Tower 04/15/2023).
